A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Karen
I’m a mother of two daughters (save me from the teenage eye-rolls and inaudible muttering … really please!) easily distracted wife to my high school sweetie, and what I like to call a Craft Adventurer with a bad case of craft ADHD!
My passion for colour and texture began as a child when I observed my first full length classical ballet performance. I was enchanted by the magnificent costumes, enthralling music and magical sets, not to mention the elegant dancers with their graceful arms and swanlike necks!
During my years as a student and ballet dancer in training I designed many of my own costumes, including a rather awkward peacock, a slinky and flirtatious witch and an arrogant Cossack princess complete with fur hat and muffler.
About the blog
Over the Moon débuted in 2011 as a means to refocus my own flagging creativity and to help others discover their own artistic soul. Over the years it has been a joy to create unique pieces of jewellery and produce captivating colour palettes to inspire my readers.
OTM is committed to explore a creative journey where colour and texture is used to inspire your own projects and to perfect new skills to showcase your own Craft Adventures. Seasonal inspiration can be discovered in my festive palettes and colourful projects. My own creations have been featured in Gathered by Mollie Makes and in the galleries of Creative Beading and Australian Beading magazines.
For those of us inflicted with Craft ADHD, flitting from one project’ to another, I’m happy to share my own tricks and tips to staying focused and organised, as opposed to being buried under an avalanche of craft supplies.
Thank you for visiting Over the Moon and I hope that you will make OTM a regular part of your life. Please feel free to browse the archives to experience gorgeous colour palettes and creative ideas. Before you go feel free to subscribe to my newsletter.
Enjoy your crafty adventures!
Karen
